Acadian Medical Center Receives Operational Excellence Award

Eunice, Louisiana. (February 9, 2009) Acadian Medical Center in its continued pursuit of excellence in health care was pleased to bring home the proof! While at the Lifepoint Corporate meeting in Tennessee, the Administrative Team was very proud to receive the CORE MEASURES AWARD.

After restructuring a year ago it is now evident that positive change was the end result. Core Measures is evidence based interventions with proven positive outcomes in healthcare. This provides our facility with an assurance that we are better serving the greater Eunice area.

Core Measures is not a new concept and has been known by other names in past years; however it is has become increasingly pertinent to healthcare institutions.   Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement are based on the ability of a facility to comply with Core standards. Lifepoint, setting the pace, has raised the bar set by setting scores above minimum requirement.

Excellent quality care is mandatory and the standards set must be met for reimbursement. The award merely confirms what residents of Eunice and surrounding areas already know and that is Acadian Medical Center continues to deliver the best quality of health care.
